2013 Halloween with Skye

R2 - ST out on his first Halloween trip. Hugely popular with kids and adults. And even though not finished more photo calls than I can count!!!!! A super few hours out. — withDiane Turner and Claire Bays.

Photo: And now the colour can be revealed. After trying Ford Purple Velvet metallic which turned out a tadge darker than we liked, it was back to the original colour I picked up in a diy store. Craig & Rose purple pearl. The only snag was it was waterbased and to thick for spraying. Out came the syringes to measure ratios and ta-da! 2:1 paint/water with a layer of plastikote clear high gloss results in this. SPOT ON a bit of work in between coats; it'll be better but as a splash of colour for Halloween it will do. What do you think of it?

While the centre foot is off. I thought it would be advantageous to give it a spray in Ford Diamond White. The hole is for the allen key ankle bolt, but I do plan on having something to cover it up. More later in the build - just to keep you watching.

You thought I'd given up. Well tough luck! A little more progress in the way of the radar eye being bolted on. May even paint it to add a splash of colour.
